Well said Claudia,

I your blog entry has the honesty and dignity that some people found it hard to hone in on (myself included). The challenge of accepting natures role in our life's is a funny one, because it is nature who gave us the tools to look at our self like no other creature can, which can be seen as good or bad depending on where you stand on the nature vs. nurture debate.
Overall I like your perceptive, and I hope journey takes you to all the places your heart desires.

I look forward to you next entry.

I am very familiar with the "straddler" life not only with friends but even with family. I can only hope as the generations move on the social classes can get closer and not further apart.

Claudia,
enjoyed reading your blogs. There's nothing better than taking the time to know who you are. I know me really well and I just love me!

Man, I TOTALLY feel you on this post. I've managed to be a straddler and i must say it's incredibly lonely. Sometimes i get envious at my black elite friends because they speak of things i've never seen, much less heard of. But then I ask myself if that's how I want to be defined. Cuz the reality is the straddler world is where I belong, I haven't accomplished anything super special yet so I can't act like i'm so far removed from where i've come from to remember where i came from. And I don't want to be a pretender in the other world. So I just chill in the solitude of the straddler world.
